SnapRedact – Full-Page Screenshot & Blur

SnapRedact is a free Chrome extension for capturing a visible area, a selected area or a full scrolling page. Annotate screenshots with arrows, boxes, text and highlights, or edit them with blur, pixelation, solid cover and crop tools.

Optional Auto-blur scans page text and eligible form fields locally for email addresses, phone numbers and card numbers, suggesting blur boxes for you to review. Export PNG, JPG or PDF, or copy a PNG image to your clipboard. Very tall captures are split into images of up to 32,000 device pixels in height.

No account is required. Before capture or scanning, choose Agree and continue; Not now leaves capture disabled. New captures and edits stay only in session memory, and closing or reloading an editor discards them. Only Copy, Download or explicitly selected quick copy exports pixels. Settings retains export-format, Auto-blur and quick-copy preferences, plus a separate consent record. Withdraw consent in Settings to block new captures, pending handoffs and exports from existing editors; agreeing again does not reauthorize an earlier capture.

The extension processes captures locally without uploads, analytics or tracking. It never reads page titles and checks tab URLs only transiently for capture eligibility. Captures saved by an earlier version remain until you confirm Delete old captures in Settings; this version cannot open or export them. See the privacy policy for storage, retention and export details.

Review every image before sharing. Auto-blur can miss sensitive content, including text inside images, and blur or pixelation can leave information recognisable. Use solid Cover or Crop for sensitive areas and inspect the exported result. Quick copy skips this review. Capture and stitching can be incomplete on dynamic pages; Chrome restricts capture on browser and store pages.
