GridGrab terms of use

Effective date: 8 November 2026

These terms apply to the GridGrab – Table & List to CSV/Excel browser extension (“GridGrab”), provided by Matheus Mello, an individual developer based in Portugal (contact: matheus.mello.developer@gmail.com). By installing or using GridGrab you agree to these terms.

1. Licence

I grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use GridGrab for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the extension, or remove its notices. Third-party components are licensed under their own terms (see the notices included with the extension).

2. Acceptable use

Use GridGrab only on pages you are allowed to copy data from and respect each website’s terms of use. You must not use GridGrab for unlawful purposes or in a way that harms websites or other people.

3. Free features and limits

These terms cover both the Chrome and Firefox editions of GridGrab. Both are free and require no account. They extract tables and repeated lists from the selected page, with unlimited TSV copying for Excel or Sheets and a combined limit of five CSV, XLSX, Markdown or JSON exports per UTC day, resetting at 00:00 UTC. CSV/XLSX are downloads; TSV/Markdown/JSON are clipboard output. Failed output can still count in Chrome; Firefox attempts to restore the count when output throws an error.

Firefox disables private browsing and removes highlights and candidate references when the popup connection closes. Chrome does not provide that cleanup, so page-side references and highlighting can remain until the document unloads; Chrome private access depends on browser settings and its local counter is not separated by session type. Both use temporary selected-tab access with no standing website host permissions. Local file access depends on browser permission; restricted browser pages may be inaccessible. See the privacy policy for storage, page access and output handling.

4. Your rights and responsibilities

You control which data you copy, save or share. Review outputs before use, protect personal or confidential information, and retain it only as long as appropriate. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights or any other rights that cannot be waived by law.

Review untrusted page data before opening or pasting it into a spreadsheet. Spreadsheet applications may interpret some cell values as formulas; do not assume every installed edition neutralises those values.

5. No warranty

To the extent permitted by law, GridGrab is provided “as is” and “as available”. Websites vary, and extraction may be incomplete or incorrect. Availability, compatibility and error-free operation are not guaranteed. Check results before relying on them.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, profits or business arising from use of GridGrab. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Changes and termination

I may update the extension and these terms. Material changes will be published on this page with a new effective date. You can stop using GridGrab at any time by uninstalling it.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims in the courts there. Consumers may also use an alternative dispute resolution entity, such as the Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (CNIACC).
