Origami Canal privacy policy
Effective date: 8 November 2026
Origami Canal is an HTML5 one-tap skill game published by Matheus Mello, an individual developer based in Portugal (contact: matheus.mello.developer@gmail.com). The game is played on third-party game platforms (“platforms”), such as CrazyGames and YouTube Playables.
Summary
- The game itself does not collect personal data. There is no game account, chat, user-generated content or purchase system.
- The game has no analytics or tracking of its own and loads no remote fonts, images or audio.
- Your progress is saved on your device or through the platform’s save feature.
- Ads, if shown, are served by the platform, not by the game.
Save data
To remember your progress, the game saves a small record: best score, earned lotus, owned and selected boats, milestone badges, number of completed runs, and music and sound settings. Depending on the platform, this record is stored in your browser’s local storage or through the platform’s save service (for example the CrazyGames Data module or YouTube Playables’ cloud save). It does not contain your name, contact details or other identifying information, and I cannot see it. Where supported, the platform may also receive your best score, and the game may report errors or warnings to it without including your save data or personal data.
To delete local progress, clear the site data for the game in your browser. Progress held by a platform can be removed using that platform’s own data controls or support.
Platforms and ads
The platform you play on provides the game page, its software development kit (SDK) and any ads (interstitial ads at natural breaks and optional rewarded ads). The platform and its advertising partners may process data such as device information, identifiers, IP address and ad interactions, and handle any consent required for ads, under their own privacy policies — for example CrazyGames and Google/YouTube. I do not receive personal data from these ads. Platforms may share aggregated, non-identifying statistics with me (such as number of plays or play time).
Permissions
The game does not ask for camera, microphone, location, contacts, notifications or any other device permission. Sounds are generated in your browser.
Children
Origami Canal is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed at children.
Your rights and contact
